AcademicPub MARKETING AND SALES INTERN
Fun, fast textbook publishing technology company seeks fresh talent to research and analyze marketing
data, assist in the process of gathering names for mailing, and help implement targeted marketing.
AcademicPub, SharedBook Inc's technology platform for higher education, assembles, composes, prices
and delivers custom textbooks - in eBook and/or print format. AcademicPub allows for immediate
creation and inclusion of copyright-cleared content from anywhere, such as web articles, self-generated
lectures or from the AcademicPub Content Library.
AcademicPub is growing and looking for interns who want to learn how to research, gather and analyze
marketing and sales data, and report engaging and relevant marketing content. We’re looking for students
to join our team and help us share our technology with professors all over the world.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Research various college and university departments and disciplines
• Pull together regular reports on user activity, traffic sources, and other analytic queries as directed
• Assist in the development of surveys
• Gather data on various disciplines, schools, and professors based on weekly marketing goals
• Collaborate with team to design & execute integrated strategy
• Act as a brand ambassador for AcademicPub
• Write analysis based on research and marketing reports
OUR DREAM INTERN HAS A COMBINATION OF THESE QUALITIES
• An almost uncanny ability to make sense of numbers and data
• Understands the ins and outs of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Has some experience with Google Analytics, bonus points for Google/Bing Webmaster Tools
• Stays abreast of news and trends in the digital media world
• Rapid adopter of new technologies & tools
• Comfortable receiving and delegating tasks as needed
• Actively takes initiative and is dedicated to projects big and small
THE POSITION WILL BE DIVIDED AS FOLLOWS:
RESEARCH (gathering, recording, and uploading data), MAILINGS (analysis, recommendations),
STRATEGY BUILDING
Highly interactive and engaging, AcademicPub aims to revolutionize the higher education experience and
inspire generations of professors to customize and personalize their course materials.
This is an unpaid internship for 15-25 hours/week. We offer course credit and transportation
reimbursement. We promise to train you to be amazing researchers, marketers, and to help you reach your
professional goals!
