AcademicPub Content Partner Total Spikes to 210

London, England, April 15, 2013 - The world's leading academic publishers continue to beat a path to EdTech star, AcademicPub™, which today signed agreements with nine more publishers and now counts 210 publisher partners in what is the world's largest repository of atomized content available for the creation of custom course materials.

Caroline Vanderlip, CEO of AcademicPub parent company, SharedBook Inc., made the announcement at The London Book Fair®. Only in its second year of operation, AcademicPub has secured an average of two new publishers per week to its easy-to-use instructor platform, which now makes available more than 8 million units of content for use in course packs for classes throughout North America, and around the world.

The respected publishers announced today are: Brandeis University Press, Dartmouth College Press, Littman Library of Jewish Civilization, McGill University Press, Michigan State University Press, NACRA - The North American Case Research Association, Northeastern University Press, University of New Hampshire Press, and US Government Printing Office. These respected publishers join an illustrious group from around the globe, including Cambridge University Press, Springer, Routledge, and Oxford University Press. Of the 210 publishers included in the AcademicPub platform, more than 55 are from outside the United States, including 29 from the United Kingdom. A complete list of publishers in the AcademicPub Content Library may be found here.

"The big trend in academic publishing today is disaggregation, a process driven by human nature and made easier by technology," said Vanderlip. "AcademicPub's straightforward platform, bursting with atomized content and a transparent pricing model, is at the heart of this trend."

AcademicPub Launches Content Rich Communities

MEDIEVAL STUDIES, MIDDLE EASTERN STUDIES KICK OFF
"SPECIAL COLLECTIONS" FOCUS ON CONTENT DEPTH AND COLLABORATION

New York, NY, April 4, 2013 - AcademicPub™, the largest repository of atomized content available in the world for the creation of custom course materials, today announced the launch of AcademicPub Special Collections™, sites which facilitate the discovery of content and encourage collaboration in the creation of custom course materials.

The Medieval Studies Special Collection and The Middle Eastern Studies Special Collection are the inaugural Special Collections being launched by AcademicPub, which plans at least a dozen more in 2013. Both Special Collections are hosted by AcademicPub as focused subsets of the larger, 8-million unit AcademicPub content library.

AcademicPub has just embarked on its second year of operation serving a rapidly expanding number of instructors at colleges and universities in North America. The AcademicPub Special Collections provide wide and deep content from prominent commercial and OER publishers worldwide. The collections allow instructors to access all top publishers in each topic with one click, to easily create a unique custom book for their courses, and to share the contents of their newly built book with others in their field.

The announcement was made by Caroline Vanderlip, CEO of AcademicPub parent SharedBook Inc.

"Our intent in building these subject-specific collections is to facilitate the creation of learning communities, resulting in even greater ease of use for the instructors who are building books on our platform," said Vanderlip. "The rich content in the AcademicPub Library, combined with the close-knit nature of scholarly communities, are the impetus for these new sites."

The 24 publishers making their high-quality material available in The Medieval Studies Special Collection hosted by AcademicPub are found here
