New Feature: Citable Tables of Contents

We've heard the requests from students and we've delivered.

We know how annoying it can be to figure out how to cite a course pack, and while we've long included citable data for students, we've gone ahead and made all that information available, automatically (with no extra work required from professors, who can continue to choose their materials through our large and dynamic library and other content options) right in the table of contents.

At AcademicPub we're working hard every day to make the course materials experience the best it can be for both students and professors. Why don't you join us and see what all the buzz is about?

Keep your eye on this space for even more great features in the coming weeks! And be sure to follow us on your social network of choice, whether that's TwitterFacebookGoogle+ or LinkedIn.

AcademicPub Introduces Instructor Dashboard

With Work Product in "Cloud," Faculty Members Can Access Web Service Anytime, Anywhere

New York, NY, February 6, 2013 - AcademicPub™, the leading provider of custom books - print and digital - for higher education faculty members, today announced the release of The AcademicPub Instructor Dashboard™, a readily accessible, easy-to-use web service available anytime anywhere, with all of the instructor's work product stored in "the cloud."

AcademicPub also announced the addition of 14 more publishers to its ever-growing roster. As of today, 176 partners contribute more than 8 million discrete units of content to the AcademicPub Library for easy selection by instructors in their custom books. The announcements were made by Caroline Vanderlip, CEO, SharedBook Inc., AcademicPub's parent.

"With the introduction of the Instructor Dashboard, AcademicPub continues to focus on providing our faculty users with the easiest and fastest platform for the selection of the most desired content for custom compilations for their students," said Vanderlip. "The Instructor Dashboard enables the re-adoption of a book with one click, providing support to the hundreds of instructors who choose to use their AcademicPub books from semester to semester."

Vanderlip added: "With a retention rate in the 75% range, AcademicPub has already garnered a loyal audience. We expect this retention to grow even more because everything an instructor needs to teach can now be found in one place, while accessed interchangeably from various devices."

Vanderlip explained that instructors who "build" a book for their students on the company's platform can now use The AcademicPub Instructor Dashboard to:

• Publish the link to their students to enable direct purchase from AcademicPub;
• Download their personal, complimentary desk copy;
• Track in real time how many students have purchased course materials;
• Re-adopt with one click a book they have built in the past for use in a new semester; and
• Archive a book they are no longer using, with option to recover in the future.

This release of The AcademicPub Instructor Dashboard follows the company's August 2012 launch of The AcademicPub Student Bookshelf, a well-received platform that serves students who use a revolving mix of laptop, tablet and mobile device.

In addition, AcademicPub revealed that fourteen new publishers have joined the company's expanding roster of content providers, with a current tally of 176 partners providing roughly 8 million units of high-quality, copyright-cleared content. Publishers new to the AcademicPub platform are: AASHTO, American Psychological Association (APA); Catholic University of America Press; Dunedin Academic Press; IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers); IESE Publishing; Kent State University Press; Louisiana State University Press; Medieval Institute Publications, Packt Publishing; Praeger/ABC-Clio; University of Nebraska Press; W.E. Upjohn Institute Press, and Westview Press.
