SALES REPRESENTATIVE – EDUCATION MARKET

Due to the introduction of new product offerings, SharedBook/AcademicPub is looking for a results-driven Sales Representative who will be responsible for identifying and closing new sales opportunities to prospective university customers.
Due to the introduction of new product offerings, SharedBook/AcademicPub is looking for a results-driven Sales Representative who will be responsible for identifying and closing new sales opportunities to prospective university customers.
The Sales Representative will be responsible for selling the company’s AcademicPub suite of products to the higher education schools that fall within their respective territory.
This person will:
- Achieve
specific monthly and annual sales goals and objectives for their given
territory
- Generate
new and repeat sales and manage the customer/prospect pipeline
- Be
instrumental in developing new business
- Deliver
presentations to key school personal and be able to successfully close a
sale
- Develop
and maintain a full pipeline of prospective clients and manage territory
in assigned region
- Manage
the entire sales process from lead generation/prospecting through
execution of project
- Work
closely with senior sales staff to achieve sales goals
- Have
a proven ability to conduct needs analysis sessions with university
personnel and then formulate solutions around those needs
- Develop
strong sales relationships with Deans, Provosts, CTO's, CIO's, etc. of the
largest education institutions in the US
- Be
responsible for reporting pipeline, account plans, territory management
activity in a timely accurate manner
- Consistently
deliver the highest customer service possible
- (Work
primarily out of home office but spend up to 75% of time in market and
with potential customers during high season).
- Locations: NY, FL & TX.
- BA/BS
or equivalent preferred
- 2+
years’ experience successfully selling to faculty, administrations and
institutions in the higher ed. market
- Excellent
written, oral and presentation skills with fastidious attention to detail
- Ability
to work independently with minimal supervision
- Up
to 50-75% travel required (dependent on selling season)
This position offers a base salary in the
$40k range and a potential of an additional $30-$40k at goal. This position
will be a field position in which the candidate will be working from an office
inside their home when not traveling
