It's Time

Welcome to the AcademicPub blog. It’s an exciting time at SharedBook, Inc. and we’re looking forward to sharing that excitement with you. We’re hoping this blog will become a place to go not just for news and information about AcademicPub, but also a source of conversation about current issues in higher education, educational technology, customized course materials and more. We’re hoping that our readers will help shape this space into a dynamic, interesting place to share news and talk about the important issues facing professors and higher education administrators every day.

If you’ve been following the news on Twitter or our Facebook page, you know we launched AcademicPub last week. Built to be used by professors and administrators, AcademicPub features real-time copyright clearance, and the ability to include materials from anywhere – the latest articles from the web, lectures of your own, content from our library – almost anything. Designed to be distributed digitally or in print – your choice. Your students get lower-priced, up-to-the-minute materials and you get a fast, easy way to expand educational horizons. If you haven’t had a chance to check it out yourself, go to www.academicpub.com for an overview and sign up now to see what it’s all about. There’s plenty of time to create materials for your summer courses or just get a head start on your fall materials.

You’ll find AcademicPub easy to use, but we also have staff available to answer any questions you may have. Feel free to leave a comment here, or check out the resources in our Help Center. We even offer a live chat option Monday-Friday from 8 am- 9 pm EST.

Thank you for checking out our blog! We will be updating frequently with the latest news about AcademicPub and posts about the latest in use of e-textbooks, educational technology, and other issues in higher education. The next post will include the launch press release and links to other articles about AcademicPub. If you have any comments or ideas you’d like to discuss, please leave a comment and get the conversation started today.

It’s time…for AcademicPub, for a new way to provide high-quality, customized materials to students in your courses, for colleges to offer an affordable alternative to traditional textbooks. We’re excited to be working with you to make it happen!
